Edinburgh is a Nice Place to Visit

Because it is March, we should all celebrate the fact that Spring has arrived. I don’t exactly know what it was about this winter, but it seemed like it dragged on forever. While my dislike of winter is quite obvious, since it’s now over, it isn’t something we need to keep talking about. Instead of spending time talking about a season I don’t even like, let’s talk about how I am kicking off Spring.

Towards the beginning of February, my neighbour (who also happens to be a good friend of mine) was talking to me and asked if I thought it would be fun to go with him to Edinburgh. Because the plans for the trip had already been made for the most part, my main responsibility was to accept the invitation. These offers don’t come around all the time, so I said yes to avoid regretting missing this opportunity in the future. Although I love travelling, I get a little nervous about flying, but fortunately we didn’t encounter any problems.

After we successfully got to our destination, we started our trip by getting our Edinburgh car rental. Booking things like your Edinburgh car rental on-line is always a good idea, because it will save you time during your actual trip. As soon as we had this, the fun began for us. Being able to spend six days in Edinburgh with someone that I really care about was such a great experience.

My neighbour and I have just continued to get closer over the last couple of years, and this trip just solidified that the fact that we are very compatible.

My Girlfriend Took Me to Scotland

Because we really are a great match for each other, I get asked a lot of questions about my girlfriend. Out of all the questions I get asked, the one that I hear the most often is “are you going to get married to your girlfriend?” When I hear this question, I always smile and chuckle. The reason that my response is always the same is because I feel like the question is a little bit ridiculous. I have only been with my girlfriend for a year, and although I have a lot of deep feelings for her, I think proposing to someone after just a year would be irresponsible. I can picture myself spending the rest of my life with this girl, but that is not a decision I plan on making in the foreseeable future.

Fortunately, my girlfriend feels the same way, and instead of worrying about silly things, we get to simply focus on our relationship with each other. For example, my birthday was two and a half months ago, and as a huge surprise, my girlfriend arranged for the two of us to go to Scotland. We picked up a car rental in Edinburgh, and then spent the next four days living it up together!

My Week in Scotland

It has been a little over two years since I visited Scotland. However, I still have many vivid memories from the week that I spent in Scotland. The reason that I can still remember so much of what I did during my trip two years ago is because I had such an enjoyable time while I was in Scotland. Although I have been on quite a few trips during my lifetime, I have to say that the week I spent in Scotland is easily once of the five best trips I have ever taken. I haven’t had an opportunity to return to Scotland since my first trip there, but I’m hoping that at some point in the future, I will be able to take another trip there.

Even though I spent an entire week in Scotland, I honestly feel like I could have spent much longer there. It’s true that I was able to do a lot from the time that I arrived and picked up my Edinburgh car rental to the time that I left, but I still think that I would be completely happy if I was there for a longer amount of time. Therefore, when I eventually get an opportunity to take another trip to Scotland, I plan on staying for a full two to three weeks.
